18th century Delft pottery figural jug, modeled as seated man with hat, base with Spigot, painted floral decoration, losses to hat rim.
Modelled as a burgher wearing a manganese hat with a removable crown forming the stopper, a wide ruff, a flower-patterned white jacket affixed at the back with a foliate-decorated S-scroll handle, white flowered trousers, white stockings and manganese shoes, his hands clasping his ample belly, and seated on a mound decorated with blossoms and scrolling foliage and mounted on the front with a brass spigot and tap.
