The eighteen - lights chandelier is crowned with a gilded fire plateau decorated with twelve palm leaves and a pine-cone, from which large chains are leaving downwards to the centre ring. On this ring six three - light arms are decorated with the head of Athena " the Greek goddess of wisdom, science and the arts " crowned by a owl with spread wings. On the main ring there are six fountains decorated with putty and swans and flanked with dancing couples. From the main ring leaves twenty four stripes bending downwards. The strips are embellished with openwork motives starting with a woman's head en ending in a palm leave. The stripes are ending in a pine-cone.
