Amsterdam Blue Plaque
Depicting the Parable of the `Prodigal Son´ as in Luke 15: 13"Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living." We can see elegantly dressed men shaking hands and climbing on their horses and a woman on a platform.
In the collection of the Rijksmuseum is a Amstersdam Earthenware serving tray ( inv.nr. BK-14557) which depicts the same decoration. This tray is also published in Vormen uit Vuur on page 61. Although the details differ slightly, the paintings are obviously derrived from the same print.
