A Set of Six Mahogany Empire Dining Chairs
These special chairs were very uncommon in the Netherlands. This type of chairs is directly extracted of a chair made by the famous ebonist George Jacob (1739 - 1814) in 1787 after a design by Hubert Robert. The green patinated forelegs have the shape of lion claws. With curled backstiles and brass pipings on stiles and rails.
