A Mahogany Window Seat

This elegant piece of English furniture dates back to the Regency period, the English counterpart to the French Empire. It has a very elegant and light design in contrast to the heavy classicist slant of the time.

The top is upholstered in such a way that the upholstery follows the contours of the armrests.
The legs ending in lion claws are in beautiful proportion to the top.
