A Tortoiseshell Teabox

A fine quality mid 19th century blonde tortoiseshell domed casket. The panels of tortoiseshell are separated with white metal stringing and there is a silver plated plaque on the centre of the hinged cover. The lock and key are also in silver plate. The casket opens to reveal two compartments with tortoiseshell covers with ivory handles. Supported on copper bun feet.
