A Pair of Very Extraordinairy French Louis XIV Wall Brackets
The pair of gilded **Wall Brackets** are beautifully carved with a central spread-winged eagle against a background of carved foliate scrolls, C-scrolls and acanthus. The eagles are supporting the fluted shelf with a serpentine-shaped front.
The carving is refined with some elegant details: the brackets are manufactured mirrored from each other so the eagles can be placed as looking towards each other.
The carving is of such a high quality that this magnificent pair is a true item of French crafstmanship of the late **Louis XIV** period.
