A Dutch Delft spittoon or cuspidor of hexagonal form and with flaring rim. The footrim is shaped. The decoration in blue with foliate banding to the wide rim and to the body The spittoon was very popular in house holds and pubs in the 18th century by users of chewing tobacco.
