The ovoid shape of this pair of tobacco pots is provided with a rare decoration. The body is decorated with smoking indian with a colorful yellow and iron red indian crown sitting amidst cargo including parcels and the tobacco-jar inscribed with "RAPPE". The smoke he blows out of his pipe forms a crowned cartouche depiction 2 running lions. Sailing ships in the distance. A floral cartouche with guirlandes with "No 8" and "No22". The bras lids en suite are from later date.
