Wiltschut was a merchant of tobacco in Kampen. Kampen was an important centre in the late 18th-19th century. They were known for producing good-quality tobacco.

  • The ovoid bodies are richly decorated
  • In cartouche a scenery of hunters with their dogs in a landscape
  • Cartouche is richly decorated with rocailles, floral motifs and crowned at the top with an urn with garlands
  • Each jar with a banner with the inscription 'Het Wiltschut'
  • The bras lids en suite are from later date
  • Each marked with APVMV van Pieter van Marksveld (1796-1811) factory De Grieksche A
  • Height: 28cm. (11.02"), with lid 34cm. (13.39")
